Advancing Integration of General Health in Behavioral Health Settings: A Continuum-based Framework

This report was developed to enable behavioral health clinics (mental health and substance use) to plan and implement integration to improve patient outcomes. We use the term “general health” to encompass the types of care usually provided by primary care or general medical practitioners and have designed this framework as a roadmap for clinics with a diverse range of resources.

American Psychological Association's Behavioral Health Services in Primary Care

This resource published by the Center for Psychology and Health provides a closer look at the Primary Care Behaviorist Model and the Collaborative Care Model for providing Integrated Care in Primary Care settings. The resource discusses key features of both models, and presents a blended model of the two as an ideal approach to health care.
